These are steel sheets coated with pure zinc or zinc-iron alloy, with a controlled coating thickness. The process of hot zinc immersion is currently one of the most efficient and economical in the market. The greatest benefits are high corrosion resistance, good solderability and excellent paint adhesion. They are meant for the automotive, home appliance, civil construction and other industries.
On the galvanised coils the thickness of the sheets range from 0.5 to 2 mm and the widths between 900 and 1,875 mm.
ArcelorMittal Vega produces two types of galvanised steel: Extragal (pure zinc) and Galvannealed (zinc/iron).
